Bend police are seeking potential victims in its investigation of a 78-year-old man who is charged with sexually abusing a female child.

Bend resident George L. Ellis Sr. was arrested Jan. 12, accused of sexually abusing a girl between October and December 2012, police said Friday.

Ellis is charged with two counts of sexual abuse, and one count of unlawful sexual penetration, according to court records.

During the investigation, police said, investigators discovered Ellis frequented the Romaine Village Park and pool.

Ellis didn’t meet or abuse the victim tied to his initial arrest at that location, police said.

He is in custody at the Deschutes County Jail, with bond set at $100,000.

His next court date is a plea hearing scheduled Tuesday.
