Letter on guns misses point

The letter from the well-meaning gentleman who wrote in recently claiming he didn’t need a large-capacity clip on his rifle to kill a deer totally misses the point on the right to bear arms. The Second Amendment isn’t about hunting; it’s about the right of a citizen to defend himself from all things, including a tyrannical government.

“A militia, when properly formed, is in fact the people themselves.” — Sen. Richard Henry Lee, 1788

George Washington understood that an armed citizenry is all that stands between us and tyranny.
