United States Army Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl has been a prisoner of war since June 30, 2009. He is being held captive by the Taliban. This happened while he was serving his country in Afghanistan.

It is difficult to understand why one of the most powerful nations in the world has not been able to accomplish his release. I am aware that there are many details that I will never know. It is not a simple task, but I think it should be given top priority.

The negotiations for his release fell through recently, but finding him and bringing him home alive is certainly more important than peace talks with the Taliban.
