Gene and Eula (Leggitt) Bruner, of Crooked River Ranch, celebrated their 66th wedding anniversary with a private event hosted by their children.
The couple were married Aug. 10, 1947, in Pasadena, Calif. They have two children, Patricia (and John) Eskew and Michelle (and Mark) Brown, all of Crooked River Ranch; five grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
Mr. Bruner served in the U.S. Navy for eight years, five during the Korean War. He worked as a heavy equipment operator for Peter Kiewit and Bechtel Construction companies for 38 years until his retirement in 1986. Mrs. Bruner worked in the central supply department at Broadway, Sutter Solano and Kaiser hospitals until her retirement in 1987. She was a member of The Sweet Adelines and other choral groups in California, Arizona and New Mexico.
They have lived in Central Oregon for three years.
