Capsugel, the New Jersey medication capsule maker, has completed its acquisition of Bend Research, Capsugel announced Tuesday.
Bend Research, which helps companies develop new drug formulation and delivery products, has become part of Capsugel’s dosage forms solutions business, according to a news release.
Capsugel, which makes more than half the world’s two-piece medication capsules, has more than 2,800 employees, and facilities spread across five continents, according to its website.
Both companies are privately owned, so terms were not disclosed.
However, Bend Research is expected to keep its name, its leadership team, roughly 250 employees and its Tumalo buildings and northeast Bend campus, CEO Rod Ray said last month when the sale was announced.
The deal is expected to provide financing for Bend Research to expand its facilities on Empire Avenue, just east of the Bend Parkway, Ray said.
