The city of Prineville has received the 2017 Award for Excellence from the League of Oregon Cities. The award acknowledges the city’s innovative approach to expand its wastewater capacity.

• Central Oregon Association of Realtors plans to recognize on Thursday the recipients of its 41st annual Building a Better Central Oregon awards. The 2017 recipients are: Hydro Flask Headquarters, Mid Oregon Credit Union-La Pine Branch, OSU-Cascades Tykeson Hall, Redmond City Hall, residence at 711 NW Georgia, The Bite Tumalo, Lavabelles Vacation Rentals and Worthy Brewing Co. addition and observatory.

• Awesome Bend has announced the finalists for its next quarterly $1,000 grant to be awarded on Tuesday. Bend Senior High Blacksmithing Club, Bend Beer Yoga, Hack for a Cause-Bend, Inspirational Vessel Project and “You Matter” signs by Judie Geiss will make three-minute pitches at Summit Saloon & Stage in Bend. Ten trustees who each donate $100 for the grant will select the winner. An audience favorite prize will also be awarded.

• Central Oregon Association of Realtors and Central Oregon Builders Association combined contributed approximately $270,000 to support Bethlehem Inn’s Transforming Lives Together capital campaign at a recent fundraiser.

• Boutique of Beer, 416 NE Greenwood Ave., Bend, filed applications Sept. 26 and 27 with the Oregon Liquor Control Commission for a change of location and as a new outlet for an off-premises sales license, which allows the sale of malt beverages, wine and cider in factory sealed containers for consumption off the licensed premises and allows sample tasting of malt beverages, wine and cider.
