A Bend man shot in the stomach with his wife’s gun in an apparent accident at a McDonald’s was hospitalized Thursday afternoon.

Richard Lee Cooper, 47, and wife Barbara Annette Masters, 48, were at a table inside the McDonald’s on Bend’s north side shortly after 1:15 p.m. when Cooper was struck....
