Deschutes board picks new chair

Deschutes County commissioners on Wednesday approved a new chairman and vice-chairwoman for the three-member board.

Commissioner Alan Unger was unanimously named chairman. Unger has served on the commission since 2009. He was re-elected to his seat in November.
