At this time of year, it wasn't unusual for Dr. Paul Eckman to dress up as Santa Claus and deliver a little Christmas cheer to women and children at a local women's shelter.

But this holiday season, he was unable to carry on the tradition that meant so much to him and to those at the shelter.
