Mote cashes check after eighth round

LAS VEGAS — Culver’s Bobby Mote finished fourth in bareback riding at the National Finals Rodeo in Las Vegas on Thursday night, allowing him to climb to fourth overall among the average leaders.

Mote was the only Central Oregon rodeo star to cash a check as his 81 in bareback gave him $7,656.....
