Big second half leads Cougars over Buffs

• Mountain View outscores Madras 30-5 after halftime en route to a 49-21 nonleague victory

A bundle of nerves in its season opener, Mountain View eked its way to a 19-16 halftime lead over Madras on Tuesday night.

But the Cougars found their groove in the second half to cruise to a 49-21 nonleague girls basketball victory at Mountain View High School.
