Former educator faces new charges

•Bremont to be sentenced for sexual abuse Friday; new charges are unrelated

The former Redmond Proficiency Academy director is due to be sentenced Friday and begin serving time for sexually abusing a former student, but this week two new cases were filed against the former local educator.

Michael Bremont, 39, now faces one count of first-degree theft and one count each....
