University of Oregon alumnus and Nike co-founder Phil Knight has left a mark on Central Oregon — his alma mater's trademark, to be specific.

An irrigation pond shaped like the university's signature O — 230 feet long and 130 feet wide — now anchors an alfalfa field on Knight's ranch near Smith....
