Local volunteers head to the Gulf

Four American Red Cross volunteers from Bend’s Oregon Mountain River Chapter have been deployed to the Gulf of Mexico region in response to Tropical Storm Isaac, The American Red Cross said.

The volunteers have been deployed to Florida, Mississippi and Louisiana. They will help open evacuation....
