Insect damage prompts closure of Shevlin span

If your daily routine involves a trip along Shevlin Park’s six-mile loop trail, you’d better get ready for an adjustment.

The Bend Park & Recreation District said it needs to remove the footbridge that crosses Tumalo Creek near Aspen Meadow because it’s in danger of collapsing.
