The snowy forest was quiet on Sunday, just a few hundred yards from the hubbub of the Mt. Bachelor ski area.
That is, until more than a dozen people on snowshoes headed out for a tour with volunteer rangers Steve Moore and Cheryl Sumerlin, with the U.S. Forest Service.
