YACHATS — Thousands of nectar and violets will be planted this weekend, part of efforts to help the Oregon silverspot butterfly’s population recover.

Only five populations of the butterflies are thought to exist. They were listed as threatened in 1980. U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service biologists....
