I would like to make a suggestion to those in charge of “The Mirror Pond Duck Race.” Why not make the race “Ducks vs. Beavers?” I am an Oregon State University alumnus — class of 1957 — and it’s hard to pull out my wallet to buy more than one duck. If I could purchase beavers, I’d buy a bunch....
