A 14-year-old girl was struck by a car while attempting to cross U.S. Highway 97 on Bend’s north side Thursday evening. Deputy Deke DeMars of the Deschutes County Sheriff’s Office said passing deputies observed the incident as it happened at approximately 6:20 p.m.
