Family urges beachgoers to stay off the sea logs

PORTLAND — A Washington state family wants beachgoers to learn from their experience on the Oregon coast: Stay off the logs.

The Oregonian reported that 7-year-old Kya Blake of Raymond was playing on a 5-ton log near Coos Bay in April.

A big wave lifted the log. The log pinned Kya in the sand.....
