Construction began this week on the building that will house the expansion of Deschutes Brewery's Public House in downtown Bend.

The vacant lot — hidden in recent years by a recognizable plywood wall next to Deschutes Brewery's current restaurant and pub at 1030 N.W. Bond St. — will be replaced....
