Conservation group voices concerns

SALEM — Rep. Gene Whisnant, R-Sunriver, has decided to throw the clout he’s amassed from seven years in the Legislature behind a bill to renew the region’s unique groundwater pumping program.

But that doesn’t mean it will be easy.
