Project marks the next big thing for evolving Bend guitar maker

The sweet, clear melodies of Hawaii are soon coming to Central Oregon — in the form of the ukulele.

Breedlove Guitar Co., which has been manufacturing guitars and mandolins since the late 1980s, is beginning to expand production in its Bend facility to build the Hawaiian-style instrument.....
