Ag official says administration agrees with most of Wyden’s bill, but targets two provisions

WASHINGTON — A top U.S. Agriculture Department official this week praised the goals of a bill U.S. Sen. Ron Wyden, D-Ore., recently introduced to increase forest thinning projects in Central and Eastern Oregon forests, but also targeted a few key planks of Wyden’s legislation.
