TUBA CITY, Ariz. — After less than two hours in the maternity ward, with her boyfriend, his mom and a nurse-midwife by her side, Jacquelynn Torivio gave birth to a 5-pound, 5-ounce son. As she held him, Torivio’s spirits clearly matched her Hopi name, Nuquahynum — “feather flying high.”
