Fuqua Homes laid off 31 people from its factory on Murray Road in Bend last week, leaving approximately 50 employees.

Employment at the factory is drastically less than it was four years ago, when the Fuqua factory employed 225 workers, according to Steve Bettis, the production manager. Bettis....
