Kate McGarrigle, a Canadian singer-songwriter who performed with her sister Anna and whose plaintive songs were covered by artists such as Linda Ronstadt, Emmylou Harris and Maria Muldaur, died of cancer Monday at her home in Montreal. She was 63.
