Former school board candidate convicted on 4 counts of abusing an 8-year-old girl

A Bend businessman was convicted Friday of four counts of sexually abusing an 8-year-old girl in 2005 and 2006, a time period when he ran a failed campaign for a seat on the Bend-La Pine School Board.
