WALTON LAKE — “Knock 'em dead, guys,” said Brett Hodgson, standing on the shore.

And he meant it.

Kurt Cundiff and Dave Warner, technicians for the Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife, heeded Hodgson's directive as they headed onto Walton Lake with a boat full of poison.
