NASA hopeful to test new Ares rocket today

CAPE CANAVERAL, Fla. — NASA tried for hours Tuesday to launch its newest rocket for a test flight, but clouds and high wind kept it stuck on the pad.

Liftoff of the Ares I-X rocket — the first step in the space agency’s tentative back-to-the-moon program — was reset for today.
