Free Choice plan would be ‘destabilizing,’ senior committee members say

WASHINGTON — After two years of relentlessly selling his health care reform plan, Sen. Ron Wyden saw his prized Free Choice amendment die without a vote, just before the Finance Committee finished its work on health care reform in the wee hours of Friday morning.
