Forecast calls for planned burns

Agencies to take advantage of expected cool, rainy weather

With cool temperatures and rain showers predicted for this weekend, the U.S. Forest Service and Bureau of Land Management are taking the opportunity to light prescribed burns in Central Oregon forests, using fire as a tool to clear out small trees and improve the health of the forests.
