On Sept. 1, we went to the town hall meeting put on by Jeff Merkley, Oregon’s newest senator. I commend him for even having one. Unlike a lot of congresspeople, such as Louise Slaughter, Democrat from New York, who said publicly that town hall meetings were beneath the dignity of her office.....
