Bend and Mountain View are set to resume a crosstown series that dates back to 1979

In an effort to keep his team away from the potential distractions of a budding rivalry, Clyde Powell put his Mountain View High football team through its pregame paces at Bend’s new north-end high school rather than across town at Bend High’s Punk Hunnell Field.
