Local SAT numbers hint at ACT shift

Bend-La Pine had fewer students take the SAT than in the year before

Some area school districts continue to outpace the state in SAT scores, while some continue to lag behind.

Bend-La Pine Schools reported the highest average SAT score in Central Oregon, with its 2009 graduates earning 1,596 out of 2,400 possible points on the test and outpacing the state's....
