The 11th annual Pilot Butte Challenge will be held at 9 a.m. Sept. 26 in Bend.

The challenge is a 1-mile, timed, nature-trail run and fitness walk from the base of Pilot Butte to the summit, a 493-foot elevation gain. On the morning of the event, the road to the top of the butte will be closed....
