Parks look for revenue boost

At state parks, rates for day use, camping may go up for first time in 13 years ‘to help keep the doors open'

The Oregon Parks and Recreation Department is proposing to raise day-use fees and camping rates in state parks — including Smith Rock, Tumalo and the Cove Palisades state parks — for the first time in 13 years.

The state agency is proposing to increase day-use fees from $3 to $5 per car at sites....
