By spring, migrating fish could be ocean-bound

Five months ago, a 140-foot-tall, 40-foot-wide section of the $100 million fish passage facility in Lake Billy Chinook snapped into pieces while crews were trying to put it in place.

One section popped to the surface; others sunk 270 feet to the lake floor.
