FDIC tells Cascade Bancorp to boost its capital

Cascade Bancorp, the Bend-based parent of Bank of the Cascades, announced Monday that the bank has agreed to increase capital, reduce nonperforming assets and ensure appropriate loan loss levels as part of a cease and desist order issued by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corp.
