Bend-La Pine’s few new faces

Orientation had 18 employees, down more than 100 from last year, but spirits seem relatively up, from the district and new hires alike

Last year, Bend-La Pine Schools held its new teacher orientation in an auditorium.

With more than 100 fewer teachers and education specialists hired to work in the schools this fall, the orientation Friday was held in a much smaller room.
