Re-evaluting fire protection priorities in La Pine, Sisters

With original goals mostly completed, community groups look to set new ones

In the four years since community members developed a wildfire protection plan in and around La Pine, the Newberry Estates and Ponderosa Pines subdivisions have been cleaned up " brush mowed, trees limbed and a 200-foot buffer created around one of the communities.
