Local dirt-bike rider Dave Wachs has a passion for adventure touring

As a painter and designer, Dave Wachs needed a quick way to get to the desert or the mountains to find inspiration for his artwork.

A pickup or jeep was too inefficient on backcountry dirt roads. Wachs, who lives in Tumalo, found that a dirt bike was just what he needed.
