One of the nearly 100 fires sparked by thunderstorms during the weekend has grown to more than 1,000 acres and is threatening nearby homes.

The Box Canyon Fire is the largest of the wildfires in Central Oregon ignited by recent thunderstorms in the region. It is burning through about 1,300 acres....
