A top masters rider from Alabama wins the men’s road race for his first elite U.S. title

For Mike Olheiser, it was finally his time.

After two second-place finishes the last two years at the USA Cycling Elite Road National Championships, the 34-year-old Olheiser claimed victory in Thursday's 98-mile elite road race in Bend.

Olheiser, of Huntsville, Ala., outsprinted 10 other riders....
