Area hospitals now use bar codes

Patients’ new wristbands will help streamline care, track medications

Patients at St. Charles Bend and Redmond may notice something new this week. They’re wearing a bar code.

Wristbands will still contain the same information, including name, date of birth and medical record number, but now they’ll have an additional bar code.
