Simple syrup is a good way to sweeten drinks because sugar doesn’t dissolve well in cold beverages.
Heat equal parts sugar and water to the boiling point. When the sugar has dissolved, remove from the heat and let cool. Keep in a capped bottle (does not need refrigeration).
