Organization plans to build 10 homes this year in Bend, Prineville

An excavator hammered away at rock in a northeast Bend subdivision Thursday morning, as the Bend Area Habitat for Humanity embarked on an ambitious goal for the current fiscal year: to build 10 homes, double the number it built annually only a couple of years ago.
