Airport project gets $347,356 state grant

Funds will help improve Airport Way, which is ‘essential’ to expansion

SALEM — The Oregon Transportation Commission voted Thursday to grant $347,356 to the city of Madras to help develop its airport.

The funds will go to pave 1,900 feet of Airport Way and extend utilities there as part of the expansion of Madras Airport.
