Bend Elks pounded, still in playoff hunt

For most of the West Coast League season, the Bend Elks have won games with their bats.

Going into Monday’s three-game home series with the Kitsap BlueJackets, the Elks led the league in hitting with a .287 batting average and had scored a WCL-best 172 runs over 30 games.
