Reedy, 72, involved in crash that killed former Yankees manager Billy Martin

William Reedy, the friend of the former New York Yankees manager Billy Martin who was convicted of drunken driving in the accident that killed Martin in 1989, died July 5 at his home in Milford, Mich. He was 72.

The cause was pancreatic cancer, his brother-in-law John Desmond said.
